Munroe Falls Local History Library
General Information/Who to Contact
• The Munroe Falls Historical Society local history room is open to the public for the purpose of making local history materials accessible to individuals seeking information about Munroe Falls and surrounding communities.
• The reference library contains volumes pertaining to the histories of Ohio, Summit County, Akron, Brimfield, Cuyahoga Falls, Hudson, Twinsburg, Northampton, Tallmadge, Stow and Munroe Falls.
• The archival collection consists primarily of news clippings, photographs, periodicals, maps, videos and cassette tapes. Content includes biographies, oral histories, interviews, civic-cultural data, education documents, obituary files, and historic site inventories.
• Special collections include Munroe Falls Paper Company, Summit County Home, Cuyahoga River Collection, Munroe Falls Garden Club and Stow-Munroe Falls Grandmothers Club.
Collections from individuals include: Rev. Raymond Gaylord, Rev. Leo Gregory, Richard Smetts, Wilbur Gaylord, Carl Donaldson and Maxine and Snowden Kline.
There is no charge to do personal research, and inquiries are handled in person, by phone, and by mail or e-mail.
