Sidewalk Repair Program

sidewalk7

2008 District 2:

District 2 is scheduled for sidewalk repair for 2008.

District 2 is the North Side of North River Road, River Park Estates and Charring Cross Allotment (west to Hiwood). (which is the area east of Highwood and north of North River Road.  The area east of Luden
Avenue and south of the North River Road).

The major focus is to decrease tripping hazards in front of your house, something your homeowner's insurance will be happy about.  Maintained sidewalks will also improve property values by making the area looked properly maintained.

Sidewalk reply slip (must be received by June 10, 2008.
A letter has gone out expaining options to fix the sidewalk yourself or have Munroe Falls do it.  If no reply slip is received then Munroe Falls will fix your sidewalk and send you a  bill).

--- A green dot on your sidewalk mean it needs to be leveled.

--- A orange dot means it needs to be completely removed and replaced.

Please call (330)688-7491 to discuss questions or concerns with Ken Freiman, Building/Zoning Inspector

Good News! Our flat sewer bill has been changed to reflect our water usage! This should lower residents bills and is in effect now.

A one-time swimming pool fill-up will be allowed (contact the Water Department 330-688-7491 to arrange for a meter reader to come prior to filling and after).  This is for sewage only.

With your new savings why not get an
outside water meter and never be missed by a meter reader again?  It is a one-time $50  that can be split into 4 payments over a year.  After that, you can sign up for automatic bill-paying and never have to worry about those pesky yellow cards or water bill paying!

NEWS ON NATURAL WATERWAYS
Many residents in the city have issues with the natural course or passage of water across their property.  The Law Department and the Service Department of the City of Munroe Falls would like to take this opportunity to put these issues to rest.

All residents are advised that natural waterways that are on private property remain the responsibility of the property owner.  These drainage paths must be kept clean and clear of debris, rubbish, grass clippings and any other items that may prevent water flow.

This information is important for homeowners, especially now with the terrible storms that have hit our county.

According to the City Service Director many residents are dumping grass clippings into the ditches and creeks that run throughout the city.

Many of the flooding issues could be stopped if the ditches and creeks were kept clear.

The City is asking those residents with natural watercourses on their property to perform a "spring cleaning" of those waterways.  All residents can help solve this problem by properly disposing their yard wastes.
