2008 SEASON
The mission of this market is to provide the residents of Munroe Falls and neighboring communities the opportunity to enjoy locally grown and/or locally made products.

Available products:
The City of Munroe Falls reserves the right to monitor the products offered for sale by vendors and restrict the sale of any items that do not meet the mission of the market. Items that are already offered in the market may also be restricted to help maintain a diverse market for the customers.
1. All edible products sold at the market must be grown in Ohio or made from Ohio grown ingredients. Local producers and those outside of the northeast Ohio area are welcome.
2. Crafts must be handmade and/or assembled by the vendor. No wholesale lots will be permitted for sale.
3. Flowers, plants, bulbs, and/or seeds must be from locally grown production. No imported items will be permitted for sale.
4. All products labeled certified organic must be certified by an accredited organization in accordance with the rules of the National Organic Program.
5. Any dispute concerning products to be sold may be appealed in person or in writing to the Mayor.
Location, Days, and Hours:
The Farmers Market will be open every Tuesday beginning on June 3, 2008. The market will be open for 20 consecutive weeks with October 14, 2008 being the final day.
1. Market sales begin at 3:00 p.m. and continue until 6:30 p.m. No sales are permitted prior to 3:00 p.m.
2. Vendors may arrive at the park anytime after 2:00 p.m. on sale days.
3. All vendors must be registered and set up no later than 2:45 p.m. Any vendor arriving late or not set up in time may be refused participation for that day.
4. All vendors must be prepared to stay until the market closes. No in and outs permitted. No early booth break down or early departures permitted.
Rental fees and space assignments:
1. Vendor spaces and fees for vendors committing to the entire 20 week market:
27' L x 15' W (including vehicle parking space) = $65 one time fee + $10 per week
15' x 15' (no vehicle parking space) = $45 one time fee + $10 per week
**ALL seasonal vendors must be registered with their one time fee paid no later than Monday, May 12, 2008.
2. Vendors on the alternate list will be charged $20 flat rate for each week they participate.
3. Any vendor unable to attend a sale must notify the City of Munroe Falls (330)688-7491 no later than the Friday prior to the sale day. This will allow the space to be filled by an alternate vendor.
4. Space rental does not include tables, chairs, tent, canopy, or electricity. These items are not available from the City of Munroe Falls.
5. The City of Munroe Falls reserves the right to place vendors in different locations to provide the best possible market diversity.
6. Two "no call / no show" by a vendor will cause suspension from participating in the market for the remainder of the season. No refund will be given.
Vendor Parking:
Vendors' vehicles not parked at their booth site must be parked in designated vendor area at the rear of the main lot. All vendor vehicles must be unloaded and removed from the sales area no later than 2:45 p.m. There is NO PARKING in the front of the main lot so that there is sufficient parking for buying customers.
Summit County Requirements:
1. All vendors selling edible items are registered by the City of Munroe Falls with the Summit County Department of Health. Approval by the Health Department is required prior to selling any edible items. The Market Manager will notify the vendor if there are any problems.
2. Vendors selling items on which sales tax is collected must have a proper vendor's license from Summit County Auditor's Office (330)725-9755. Your vendor license must be displayed if you are collecting sales tax.
Proof of Insurance:
The City of Munroe Falls does not require vendors to have specific proof of insurance, certificates of insurance or insurance coverage of a minimum amount. Vendors understand and acknowledge that the City of Munroe Falls is not responsible for any damage, loss, injury, harm, theft, or altercation that may occur before, during, or after the hours of the market. Further, the City of Munroe Falls is not liable for any losses, damages or claims that arise out of the purchase, use or consumption of any products sold by Vendors at the market. Vendors agree to fully indemnify, save, and hold harmless the City of Munroe Falls, its officials, officers, and employees against any and all liabilities, losses, damages, claims, expenses, and/or judgments (including payment of reasonable attorneys' fees and costs) brought against or incurred by the City of Munroe Falls. In the event that a Vendor shall be obligated to indemnify the City of Munroe Falls, its officials, officers, and employees, the Vendor shall promptly provide and pay for a legal defense for the City of Munroe Falls. The Vendor shall be required to assume the defense against any such liability, loss, damage, claim, and/or expense with counsel approved by the City of Munroe Falls.
