PUBLIC RECORDS POLICY

A request for public records can be made verbally, by mail, by email, or in person. It is not required that you complete a public records request form.  However, it is important to the City that we fulfill requests completely and in a timely manner. Therefore, written documentation of the request helps us determine exactly what is being requested and when it was requested. If you do not, or will not put your request in writing, an employee will document your request either in writing or electronically for the city's records.

Any costs incurred by the city will be charged to the person making the request, be it for photo copies, postage or other media required to fulfill the request and shall be paid at the time of completion.

When requesting public records, please be as complete and concise as possible.
